Fill chambers, also known as fill matrices, air breaks, metering tanks, or side fill chambers, are used for Hotpoint dishwasher models. These chambers pre-fill with water and distribute it as needed into the dishwasher. Often, they have a built-in flow meter that counts the water volume using a reed sensor. Over time, these chambers can become blocked with dirt or debris. If you can’t clear the blockage, you’ll need to replace the chamber. If the flow meter fails, replacing it is often the only option for many Hotpoint models.
