Shipping, Returns And Cancellation

Please read carefully as this explains your rights as a consumer under the Sales of Goods Act, Consumer Rights Act, and any other applicable laws.

Delivery of Goods

We will make every effort to ensure delivery within the defined timescales, but we cannot be held responsible for delays once the order has been dispatched. Delivery charges will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Delivery Address

Please ensure your delivery address is complete and correct. Use the postcode lookup facility (the small icon to the right of the postcode box on the checkout page) to verify it. If no one is available to receive the order, retrieval will become your responsibility. This could mean using a work address or a friend/family member who is always available.

Delivery Times (Stock Items)

Stock items are usually dispatched by the end of the next working day if ordered before 1pm.

Economy Shipping

Economy shipping is recommended only for non-urgent items as it is the slowest and cheapest shipping method.

We prefer the Economy courier option, which offers a good balance of speed, cost, and traceability. Evri/Hermes provides this service.

Heavy and Large Items

Heavy and large items, such as motors, may be dispatched by DPD/UPS or an alternative service, usually a next working day (excluding weekends) delivery service, after we have dispatched the item.

Delivery Times (Offshore Islands and Remote Areas)

This only applies to the UK Mainland. Deliveries to offshore islands and remote areas will normally take longer.

Carriage Charges

Carriage charges vary according to the weight, size, and value of the items ordered and are calculated automatically when added to your cart.

The carrier (if used) will accept a signature from any person at the delivery address. Once a parcel is accepted and signed for, the responsibility passes to the customer (not the signatory).

Large (oversized/overweight) items (such as panels, dish racks, cooktops, tubs, drums, etc.) may incur additional shipping fees to some regions, especially off the mainland UK.

Export Orders

We are currently unable to send most parts outside the UK.

Damaged Goods

If the outer package is damaged, mark the carrier receipt with “Damaged” before signing and accepting delivery. If you’re unsure about the condition of the goods, mark the carrier receipt as “Unchecked” before signing to accept delivery.

If you receive a damaged item, please contact us by email to parts@nwar.co.uk immediately to arrange the return for replacement. Where possible, attach a photo showing the damage; this may prevent the need for a return.

All claims for damaged goods must be made within 24 hours of delivery!

Definition of Incorrect Goods

Please note that all spare parts are subject to design and specification changes by the manufacturer. Often, the part provided may not be an exact match for the original but is deemed suitable by the manufacturer as an alternative.

Incorrect Goods

If you receive an incorrect part, please inform us immediately so we can arrange the dispatch of the correct part as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can cancel your order, and we’ll refund your payment upon receipt of the unused item(s).

Returns

If you purchase an incorrect item from us, please inform us immediately by email, quoting the order number so we can cancel the order. If the order has already been dispatched, you’re responsible for safely returning the unused goods upon receipt. We’ll then arrange the despatch of the correct item(s) or cancel your order if you prefer.

We won’t accept items damaged during fitting. Items showing signs of being fitted won’t be accepted for a refund. Timers, modules, and other electronic components can be damaged by static electricity. These items can’t be returned for credit if removed from their sealed packaging.

For products fitted for fault-finding, we’ll consider them used.

Before returning any part, contact us to arrange the return. We have multiple despatch addresses, so we can’t accept a refund without prior authorisation.

Items not returnable include:

- Items not returned in the condition they were received.

- Items showing obvious signs of use.

- Items returned more than 14 days after returns authorisation.

- Unwanted items delivered more than 14 days ago.

- Special custom order items not normally stocked.

Always get a certificate of posting when returning items by mail. We can’t accept responsibility for lost items in transit.

For your protection, send products back to NWAR per our instructions using recorded delivery for proof of delivery. The customer is responsible for taking reasonable care of goods during the cancellation period. We recommend returning products in their original packaging in good condition to avoid damage during the return journey.

If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before returning them and this results in damage or deterioration, we’ll charge you for the reduction in value or the return may not be authorised.

We won’t accept any package without the correct postage. Such packages are treated as undeliverable by the carrier.

All sales on this site are governed by UK law. When ordering goods or services, you’re entering into a legally binding contract with NWAR.

Working Days

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Cancellation

Orders can be cancelled up to 14 working days after receipt. All cancellations must be made in writing via email.

If you wish to cancel an order for any reason, simply contact us to arrange for the cancellation and refund.

This process is straightforward if the order hasn’t been shipped and the items are not special order goods.

However, once the item has been shipped, it must be returned as instructed. This is because we ship from multiple locations, and any goods must be returned to the correct address for inspection and acceptance.

To ensure a quick and easy return for our customers, please don’t return items without first receiving instructions. This can cause delays in processing your request and refund.

Please note that special custom factory order spare parts are often non-cancellable and cannot be returned. While we may be able to cancel an active order while it’s still on order from a factory, we cannot always do so after delivery.

Return Policy

You’re responsible for returning any unwanted or unused items. Unused goods will be refunded, but delivery charges aren’t refundable unless the item is damaged or faulty.

Special Factory Order Spare Parts

Special factory order spare parts are often non-cancellable and non-returnable. While on order, we can usually cancel an active order, but after delivery, we can’t always.

Guarantee

Most parts we sell come with a twelve-month guarantee against faulty materials or workmanship. If a component fails, contact our technical department via email to confirm the fault and arrange the return of the faulty item(s) for testing and repair/replacement. You’re responsible for returning the goods safely.

This guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights

Note

The warranty on spare parts is an RTB (Return To Base) warranty. Any warranty claim requires the item to be returned for inspection by us or the manufacturer to verify validity before a remedy is offered. This can be a replacement or a refund, at the manufacturer’s or our discretion.
