VXO Fridge & Fridge Freezer Thermostat
VXO fridge and fridge freezer thermostat that fits many fridge freezers and larder fridges
Larder fridges operates in a similar way to the VT9 thermostat giving a defrost on every cycle. However, the temperature range setting is higher than that of the VT9 in order to prevent over freezing of the cabinet. This is often the thermostat that you would use on a wet wall fridge or fridge freezer where the evaporator is behind the rear wall of the fridge and there is no defrost heater.

Thermostats
Thermostats and thermistors control the cooling in fridges, freezers, and fridge freezers. Older analogue thermostats use a phial to switch the compressor on and off, while newer electronic systems use NTC thermistors for precise temperature control. Faulty units can lead to poor cooling, over-freezing, or appliance stress.
Understanding Thermostats
Analogue Thermostats: Simple on/off devices with a temperature-sensing phial. When faulty, the appliance may stop cooling or over-freeze. Older models may also have live feeds for internal lighting.
Electronic Thermostats: Use NTC thermistors that change resistance with temperature. More accurate than analogue thermostats, but still prone to occasional failure. Incorrect readings can result in incorrect appliance temperatures.

Cost-Effective Spare Parts
Save Money On
Spare Parts.
Cost-compatible spare parts are not generic “one-size-fits-all” items. They fall into several categories, and care must be taken to ensure the replacement is fully appropriate for your appliance.
How Compatible Parts Work
Most cost-compatible parts are the same components originally used by the manufacturer but sourced from a different supplier. Often, the brand on your appliance did not manufacture every part themselves. Clever sourcing allows us to provide the exact same part — at a lower cost — sometimes even using a different manufacturer’s part number.
Choosing The Right Replacement
Some compatible parts are excellent, offering the same performance as the original. Others are very cheap but may fail quickly. We evaluate parts before listing and provide guidance so you can avoid low-quality replacements.
Obsolete or Universal Parts
Some original parts are no longer available, so compatible alternatives are the only option. Universal parts may also be used. We only list replacements we trust to ensure quality and fit, protecting you from poor-performing components.
