Low cost compatible replacement from for the latest HAFIN2/EXP compatible water filter to fit many Samsung fridge freezers
This is a low cost compatible water filter from that is compatible with the Samsung the Aqua Pure First.
This water filter will also fit all older Samsung fridge freezer models models produced prior to mid-2009 where the filter is inside the fridge. This version of the water filter is Purofilter branded.
This filter is a direct replacement for the HAFIN or HAFIN2/EXP Aqua Pure water filter and now also replaces the WF289 and 480181700592.
Purofilter claim to be of a higher quality than the original manufacturer as well as a lot cheaper, we can’t argue from what we’ve seen and on this one we believe that's it is a better quality than the lower cost ones we've seen but, it is slightly more expensive in view of that. That said, it isn't that much more expensive and we'd recommend this one over lower price alternatives and it is still a significant saving over the genuine Samsung filter.
Like the genuine filter this one has been changed as Samsung have changed the design of the cartridges for some of their newer fridges, so that the cartridges fit inside the refrigerator compartment and not behind the refrigerator as per their older models. These newer fridges use the DA29-00003B which is also known as the Aqua Pure DA61-00159A - depending on where the part is sourced.

All Samsung water filter cartridges should be changed every 6 months to ensure continued performance and cartridge sterility.

How To Reset The Water Filter Light
When the filter is replaced, reset the indicator by pressing the Ice Type button and the Child Lock (or Moisture Control) button simultaneously for 3 seconds.
Note: Hold the buttons for only 3 seconds. If you press these 2 buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds, the reset function ceases. Release the buttons and repeat the same step one more time. The water filter indicator light should turn green.
On models without a filter indicator light your filter should be replaced every 6 months, or if you notice a decrease in the flow of water and an impact on the water's taste.
