Oven Thermostats.
An oven or cooker thermostat controls the temperature inside the oven cavity by switching power to the element within a +/-10-15% tolerance.
Fault Diagnosis
When a thermostat is faulty, symptoms are typically binary: the oven won’t heat at all, or it constantly heats and fails to cut out, resulting in burnt food. Safety thermostats operate similarly but are preset to a single cut-off temperature to prevent overheating.
Technical Testing
Almost all thermostats “break” the live supply once set temperature is reached. If the oven is overheating, the circuit remains closed regardless of setting. If it won’t heat, the thermostat fails to “make” the circuit to power the element.
Electrical Safety Warning
Oven thermostats carry live mains power. They must never be worked on while power is applied to the oven or cooker. Always isolate the appliance from the mains before inspection or replacement.
Sourcing Requirements
When buying a thermostat, precision is crucial. While they often appear identical, they vary significantly in temperature ranges, fitments, and knob offsets.
Can't Find The Thermostat You Need?
We strive to simplify the process. If you encounter difficulties, our team is here to assist. Use our contact page or email as a first resort; we can lookup the exact part and identify cost-effective compatible options for you.
IMAGES AND SIZES ARE FOR ILLUSTRATION ONLY
Parts may vary in shape and size to the images shown as parts are model-specific and subject to change or alteration at any time without notice. This spare part will only fit the models as described in the listing unless specifically advised otherwise by us.
NOTE: Many oven thermostats can be used in different positions and are very specific to the make and model fitting. Please take care when ordering and don't rely solely on images as they largely all look the same!

Cost-Effective Spare Parts
Save Money On
Spare Parts.
Cost-compatible spare parts are not generic “one-size-fits-all” items. They fall into several categories, and care must be taken to ensure the replacement is fully appropriate for your appliance.
How Compatible Parts Work
Most cost-compatible parts are the same components originally used by the manufacturer but sourced from a different supplier. Often, the brand on your appliance did not manufacture every part themselves. Clever sourcing allows us to provide the exact same part — at a lower cost — sometimes even using a different manufacturer’s part number.
Choosing The Right Replacement
Some compatible parts are excellent, offering the same performance as the original. Others are very cheap but may fail quickly. We evaluate parts before listing and provide guidance so you can avoid low-quality replacements.
Obsolete or Universal Parts
Some original parts are no longer available, so compatible alternatives are the only option. Universal parts may also be used. We only list replacements we trust to ensure quality and fit, protecting you from poor-performing components.
