Description
This main oven door seal is a compatible alternative to the original Bosch part 00489140. It fits around the inner edge of the oven door, creating an airtight closure that traps heat inside the cavity for efficient, even cooking. This non-genuine compatible part is designed to meet or exceed original specifications.
Over time, oven door seals can become perished, hardened, torn, or compressed flat, losing their ability to form a tight seal. Common symptoms of a failing door seal include the oven losing heat around the door, taking longer than usual to preheat, uneven cooking results, or the outside of the door becoming excessively hot during use. Replacing a worn or damaged seal restores proper heat retention, improves cooking performance, and helps keep the door exterior cooler and safer to touch. This 4-sided seal measures approximately 450 x 365 mm and is manufactured from durable rubber.

Fitment guidance: This seal is a compatible alternative for Bosch, Neff and Siemens built-in ovens as well as Balay and Constructa models. This is a non-genuine compatible part, designed as an alternative to original part number 00489140. Even if a seal looks the same, it may not be compatible – always verify your model number. The model number can usually be found on a rating plate inside the oven door, on the door frame, or on the rear panel of the appliance.
Replacement tips: Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before starting any repair. Allow the oven to cool completely before handling the door or seal. Remove the old seal by unhooking it from the door frame – note the position of each hook to ensure correct refitting. Clean the groove where the seal sits before installing the new one. Press the new seal into place, ensuring all hooks are securely engaged in their corresponding slots. Check that the seal sits evenly around the entire door frame with no twists or gaps.

Tradesman Warning
Do not arrange a tradesman until your goods have arrived and been checked. We do not cover tradesman costs due to transit delays or suitability issues.

Returns Policy
