Replacement upper dishwasher spray arm – compatible with Beko, Belling, Diplomat, Flavel, Lamona and Leisure dishwashers as shown unless advised otherwise

Check your dishwasher model number to ensure a guaranteed fit.

Description

This replacement upper dishwasher spray arm matches the original part's specifications and performance, offering an affordable alternative to the factory-supplied unit without compromising the upper basket's cleaning power.

The upper spray arm sits under the top basket and sprays jets of hot water down and out across the upper load, reaching glasses, mugs, bowls, and cutlery the lower arm cannot cover. When the original arm becomes blocked, cracked or worn, the top basket loses its wash performance and the whole cycle becomes a disappointment.

This replacement matches the original in shape, hub fitting, and nozzle pattern, so it locks onto the existing supply hub, rotates with the same balance, and delivers full coverage of the upper basket from first use.

This spray arm is used across a number of Beko, Belling, Diplomat, Flavel, Lamona and Leisure models sharing the same wash platform, which is why the same component appears across more than one brand. Because it is moulded to a specific length, hub fitting, and nozzle pattern, it is not interchangeable with visually similar upper arms from other ranges, so you must confirm the full model number against the compatibility list before ordering.

This spray arm is only known to fit the models shown or as advised and will not fit any others because, even if it looks the same, it probably won't. Several may look alike but not fit; please take time to confirm this before ordering. If you are unsure, please contact us for assistance.

Technical Notes

Specifications: Compatible upper dishwasher spray arm. Product code: OEM1746200600. Type: rotating upper spray arm assembly. Material: heat-resistant, food-safe plastic. Mounting: twist-lock or push-fit onto the upper supply hub. Nozzle arrangement: directional jets angled downwards and outwards for full upper-basket coverage. Colour: grey. Manufactured to match the original part's specifications and performance. Supplied as the spray arm only; supply hub, seals, retaining clips and upper basket rails are not included unless separately listed.

Safety note: Isolate the appliance from both the mains supply and the water supply before carrying out any work. Allow the dishwasher to cool and drain fully before removing the upper basket or reaching into the tub. Take care with the small nozzle holes and any sharp edges on the arm, and do not force the arm onto its hub — if it does not seat with light pressure, check the alignment and the condition of the hub before trying again. Never operate the dishwasher with the spray arm removed or incorrectly fitted, as this can damage the wash pump.

Common Faults & Symptoms

The following symptoms are commonly reported when an upper dishwasher spray arm begins to fail. Use this as a diagnostic guide before ordering a replacement — if more than one of these is present, the spray arm is the likely culprit.

1
UPPER BASKET DISHES STILL DIRTY AFTER A CYCLE
The clearest sign of an upper spray arm problem. If glasses, mugs and bowls from the top basket come out gritty, filmed or with food still attached while the lower basket cleans reasonably well, the arm is not delivering water where it should be.
2
THE UPPER SPRAY ARM IS NOT ROTATING
The arm spins on water pressure alone, so any drop in pressure — from clogged nozzles, a cracked body or a worn hub — stops it turning. A stationary upper arm leaves the entire top basket unwashed and often produces a hollow rushing sound during the cycle.
3
BLOCKED NOZZLE HOLES
Food debris, limescale and detergent residue collect inside the small nozzle jets over time. Even a handful of blocked holes visibly slows the arm and leaves a pattern of poorly washed items in the upper basket. Light blockage can be cleared, but heavy scale or degraded plastic means replacement.
4
CRACKS OR SPLITS IN THE ARM BODY
A cracked arm leaks water through the split instead of the nozzles, so pressure and rotation both fall away. Cracks on the upper arm typically come from tall glasses or items in the top basket fouling the arm as it turns, or from plastic that has hardened with age. A cracked arm cannot be repaired.
5
THE ARM HAS FALLEN OFF ITS HUB
An upper spray arm found lying in the bottom of the tub or sitting loose on the top basket rails has come loose from a worn hub or lost a retaining clip. Running the appliance in this state can damage the wash pump and leaves the upper load completely unwashed.
6
CLOUDY FILM OR WATER SPOTS ON GLASSES
A dull, cloudy finish or visible water spotting on glasses in the upper basket usually points to uneven rinsing. If the upper arm is not distributing rinse water across the load, detergent residue and minerals are left behind on every surface.
7
RATTLING OR THUMPING NOISES FROM THE UPPER BASKET
A rhythmic thumping or rattling from the upper area of the tub often means the arm is not spinning freely, is catching on the basket or tall items, or is losing water through a crack. These sounds are a useful early warning that the arm needs attention.
8
THE ARM WOBBLES OR DRAGS ON THE BASKET
An upper arm that no longer sits true on its hub will wobble as it rotates, catching on the top basket or on tall items loaded underneath. This is usually caused by worn bearing surfaces or a distorted arm, and it places extra load on the wash pump motor.

Fitment Guidance

This part is compatible only with the models listed in the compatibility matrix above. Even if a part looks visually identical, internal specifications can differ.

  • Confirm your full model number against the Beko, Belling, Diplomat, Flavel, Lamona and Leisure lists on this page before ordering, as upper spray arms vary in hub fitting, arm length and nozzle arrangement between ranges that otherwise look similar.
  • Confirm that you need the upper spray arm and not the lower one, as these are different parts and are not interchangeable. The upper arm sits underneath the top basket and is usually mounted on the underside of the top basket rails or on a dedicated upper supply hub.
  • Compare the new arm against the original for hub fitting type, overall length and nozzle pattern before removing any fixings.
  • Inspect the upper supply hub, seals and retaining clips while the arm is removed, as a worn hub can cause a new arm to wobble or fall off.

Diagnostic Tips

Before concluding that the part has failed, carry out these checks to rule out other causes.

  • CHECK THE NOZZLE HOLES: Remove the upper arm and hold it up to a bright light. A quick soak in warm water with a little vinegar clears light limescale, but severely blocked or damaged arms should be replaced.
  • SPIN THE ARM BY HAND: With the arm fitted, flick it gently with a finger. It should rotate freely and come to rest without wobbling. Resistance or play indicates a worn hub or a distorted arm.
  • CHECK THE UPPER SUPPLY HUB: A worn or cracked hub will prevent even a new arm from seating correctly. Check for wear marks, splits and missing O-rings.
  • CHECK THE FILTER AND PUMP: A clogged filter or failing wash pump reduces pressure at both spray arms and can mimic a failed upper arm. Clean the filter and listen to the pump during a cycle.
  • REVIEW THE BASKET LOADING: Tall glasses or items poking through the top basket are a common cause of cracked or dragging upper arms. Rework the load and retest.

Installation Guide

These steps describe the general procedure. The exact sequence varies between models, so always consult the appliance service manual where available.

  1. Isolate the dishwasher from both the mains supply and the water supply, and allow the appliance to cool and drain fully before starting work.
  2. Remove the upper basket and any cutlery trays to give clear access to the upper spray arm and its supply hub.
  3. Take a photograph of the upper spray arm and its hub before removal, noting the fitting type and the position of any retaining clips or seals.
  4. Release the upper spray arm from its hub by twisting or lifting as the design requires. Do not force it — if it resists, look for a retaining clip or locking tab that needs to be released first.
  5. Clean the upper supply hub and the surrounding area, removing debris, limescale and food particles that could obstruct the new arm or damage its bearing surfaces.
  6. Fit the new upper spray arm onto the hub, aligning it correctly and pressing or twisting it into place until it seats firmly. Check that it spins freely by hand.
  7. Refit the upper basket, restore the water and power supplies, and run a short rinse cycle to confirm that the arm rotates correctly and no leaks are present.

Before Ordering, Check These First

  • Locate the model number on the rating plate, usually found on the inner door edge or on the rear of the appliance.
  • Match the full model number, including any suffix letters and numbers, against the compatibility lists above.
  • Confirm whether you need the upper spray arm or the lower spray arm, as these are different parts.
  • Check the supply hub, seals and retaining clips for wear, as these can cause a replacement arm to fail in the same way.
  • Verify your full model number with our team if anything is unclear — a quick check avoids an unnecessary return.

Disclaimer: The fault codes and symptoms listed above are intended as a general guide to assist with diagnosis. They cannot be taken as a definitive diagnosis of any particular problem, and other components may produce similar symptoms. Always confirm the fault with proper testing before ordering parts.

Spray Arms

Spray arms spin to distribute water evenly inside your dishwasher. They are usually fitted with a nut or clip, mounted on a support or feed tube, and driven by the water from the pump. Proper rotation is crucial for effective cleaning.

Save Money On
Spare Parts.

Cost-compatible spare parts are not generic “one-size-fits-all” items. They fall into several categories, and care must be taken to ensure the replacement is fully appropriate for your appliance.

How Compatible Parts Work

Most cost-compatible parts are the same components originally used by the manufacturer but sourced from a different supplier. Often, the brand on your appliance did not manufacture every part themselves. Clever sourcing allows us to provide the exact same part — at a lower cost — sometimes even using a different manufacturer’s part number.

Choosing The Right Replacement

Some compatible parts are excellent, offering the same performance as the original. Others are very cheap but may fail quickly. We evaluate parts before listing and provide guidance so you can avoid low-quality replacements.

Obsolete or Universal Parts

Some original parts are no longer available, so compatible alternatives are the only option. Universal parts may also be used. We only list replacements we trust to ensure quality and fit, protecting you from poor-performing components.
