Built In Oven & Cooker Grill Element
Replacement oven grill element compatible with Candy, Gasfire, Iberna, Kelvinator & Rosieres as shown unless advised otherwise
Description
This genuine oven grill element (R96/3N) directly replaces the original upper heating element used in a wide range of Candy, Gasfire, Iberna, Kelvinator, and Rosieres ovens and cookers. Rated at 2000W and 230V, this element provides the intense, radiant heat required for effective grilling and browning.
The element measures approximately 310mm in length from the bracket, 360mm in total width, with an overall length including terminals of 447mm.The bracket size is approximately 100mm x 22mm. Over time, the grill element can fail due to thermal stress, electrical faults, or physical damage, resulting in no heating, uneven cooking, or the element not glowing when switched on. Replacing a faulty element with this compatible spare part restores full grilling performance and safety.
Technical Notes
Specifications:
• Power: 2000W
• Voltage: 230V
• Length (bracket to end): approx. 310mm
• Width: approx. 360mm
• Overall length: approx. 447mm
• Bracket: approx. 100mm x 22mm
Fault Code Information
A faulty grill element will typically not generate an error code on the display. If the grill fails to heat, check the following:
• The grill element should glow orange/red when the grill is switched on. If it does not, the element may have failed.
• A multimeter continuity test across the element terminals should show resistance (typically 20–40Ω for a 2000W element). An open circuit indicates a blown element.
• Ensure the oven selector switch is set to the correct grill function and the thermostat is calling for heat.
This grill element is model‑specific and will only fit the Candy, Gasfire, Iberna, Kelvinator and Rosieres oven and cooker models listed below. It will not fit any other appliance, even if it appears visually similar, as several variants exist that are not interchangeable.
Please verify your exact model number against the list before ordering. If your appliance is not listed, please provide your full model and serial number for verification.

Oven & Cooker Spares
Grill
Heating Elements
Cooker and oven grill elements can warp, split, or fail over time. Most come in single, double, or split designs, with some outer elements doubling as oven elements. Quality varies—cheap elements fail faster and may be harder to fit.
Replacing Grill Elements
Most grill elements can be replaced from the front of the oven, but always isolate the appliance from mains power for safety. Warped or split elements often indicate failure without needing electrical testing. Cheap elements may be poorly constructed and harder to fit.
Outer elements on dual grills may act as oven elements and usually do not glow red, whereas inner infra-red elements typically do.
Care & Maintenance
To maximise the lifespan of your new lower oven heating element:
-
Keep the oven clean — built-up grease and food residue can cause hotspots and premature element failure
-
Avoid placing items too close to the element — this can allow grease to splatter onto and damage the element
-
Use oven liners with caution — some liners can trap heat and cause the element to overheat
-
Don't use abrasive cleaners on the element surface
-
Check the element periodically for signs of damage or wear
Can't Find The Grill Element You Need?
Lower oven heating elements vary significantly by model, wattage, dimensions, and fixing points. Visual identification alone is rarely enough — using your oven or cooker model number is critical to avoid ordering the wrong element.
If you're unsure about compatibility, contact our spare parts team with your appliance make, model, and serial number, and we'll verify the correct part for you before you order.

Candy
Spare Parts.
The Candy Group was historically one of Europe’s most significant appliance producers. Now part of the global Haier Group, Candy machines share technical DNA with Hoover and various other international brands, requiring precision sourcing to ensure compatibility.
Information You Need
Candy appliances undergo frequent mid-production updates. To identify the correct spare part with total certainty, the Serial Number is increasingly mandatory. Visual appearance can be deceptive as technical specifications evolve over time.
Decades of Expertise
Our relationship with Candy spans over 30 years. We understand the technical nuances of their older Italian-built machines as well as the modern Haier-platform units. This legacy knowledge is vital for identifying functional spares that actually fit.
Verified Suitability
Don’t rely on visual comparison alone. Functional components like thermostats, heating elements, and electronic modules can vary by batch. Our standing advice: ask our specialists to confirm fitment if you are unsure before ordering.
Confirm Your Candy Spares
Don’t risk ordering the wrong part for your machine. Our technical helpdesk can cross-reference your serial number against the entire global Haier database to find the exact component you need.
