Seven Commutator Position Switch
Replacement hotplate selector / hob function switch (7 positions, 16A, 250V, 23mm D-shaft) – compatible with multiple brands as shown unless advised otherwise
Description
This genuine 7-position commutator selector switch (32009052) directly replaces the hotplate or hob function control in a wide range of cookers and ovens. Manufactured by EGO for Vestel and used across multiple brands, this switch lets you select from six heat settings plus an off position (0 + 6), giving precise control over your hotplate or cooking zone.
Over time, selector switches can become stiff, unresponsive, or fail entirely due to wear on the internal contacts, especially on heavily used hobs. Common symptoms include the hotplate not heating, only working on certain settings, or the control knob feeling loose or grinding when turned. Replacing a faulty switch restores full functionality and safe operation.
Technical Notes
Specifications: 7 positions (0 + 6 heat settings); contact rating 16A, 250V; shaft length 23mm; shaft type D-shaped (ø6 x 4.6mm); genuine OEM replacement part; manufactured by EGO for Vestel.
Fitment guidance: This switch is commonly found in cookers from Bush, Statesman, Logik, Servis, Electriq and Russell Hobbs, as well as many other brands including Vestel, Everdure, Omega, Currys Essentials, Beko, Amica, Brandt, Electrolux, Gorenje, Indesit, Rosieres, Hoover, Candy and LG.
However, because many models have multiple variants, it's best to verify with your 22-digit serial number. The rating plate is usually inside the oven door, on the lip of the door opening, or inside the storage drawer or lower kick-plate for range cookers. For built-in hobs, the data is typically on the underside – you may need to remove a drawer or look up from inside the cupboard below.
If you are unsure whether this is the correct switch for your appliance, please raise a technical enquiry with your full model and serial number so we can confirm compatibility before you purchase.

Oven & Cooker Spare Parts.
Locating your correct model number is the essential first step. Avoid generic user manuals—they often cover multiple chassis types and internal variations that don't apply to your specific unit.
Ovens & Cookers
The rating plate is usually inside the oven door or on the lip of the door opening. For range cookers, check inside the storage drawer or the lower kick-plate.
Built-in Hobs
Hobs present a challenge: the data is typically on the underside. You may need to remove a drawer or look up from inside the cupboard below to view the sticker.
Intelligent Part Filtering
We only list parts with a proven failure rate or those specifically requested by engineers. This limits irrelevant results and ensures you find only what fails, rather than parts that are almost never required.
! Images & Sizes for Information Only
Oven elements and thermostats may vary in shape, terminal position, or wattage from the images shown. Manufacturers frequently alter specifications mid-production.
IMPORTANT: Many heating elements look nearly identical but have different mounting points. Do not rely on visual matching—verify via your model data or ask our specialists.

Turkish OEM Manufacturing Giant
Vestel
Spare Parts.
Vestel is one of the world's largest appliance manufacturers, rivaling Beko (Arcelik). While you rarely see the "Vestel" badge in a showroom, they build the machines for Sharp, Servis, Bush, Kenwood, and Baumatic, along with scores of high-street retailer labels.
The Rebadging Complexity
Because Vestel manufactures for so many different brands, a single part often fits hundreds of different models under different names. However, minor production changes are frequent, making technical verification essential.
The "Information Gap"
It is common for us to have a Vestel part in stock that fits your machine, even if your machine isn't badged as Vestel. We use our internal technical knowledge to link these rebadged models back to the original Vestel component.
Professional Advisory
Unless you are certain of the part number, always check suitability with our team. A slight variation in a Vestel production run can mean a difference in connector types or control module firmware.
Unsure of your Vestel part?
Don't guess with rebadged Turkish components. Send us your appliance brand and model number, and our technical specialists will perform a manual verification.
