Replacement cooker hood carbon filter pack – compatible with CDA and Amica as shown unless advised otherwise

Check your cooker hood model number to ensure a guaranteed fit.

Description

This genuine cooker hood carbon filter pack is identical to the filters supplied with the appliance when new, restoring effective odour removal in recirculation mode.

As a genuine replacement set, it matches the original manufacturer’s specification for carbon quality, airflow resistance and fit, so the filters sit correctly in the hood and perform exactly as the originals did.

Carbon filters trap cooking odours and vapours that pass through the grease filter, and replacing saturated filters keeps the kitchen fresh and the hood working efficiently.

The pack contains two activated carbon filters, enough for a complete replacement. They are used across a number of CDA and Amica cooker hood models and is intended for hoods that recirculate air rather than duct it outside. The filters are designed to be fitted in place of the existing carbon filters without modification and form part of routine hood maintenance.

This filter pack is only known to fit the models as shown or as advised and will not fit any others because even if it looks the same, it probably won't be. There will often be several that look alike yet are not, please take time to ensure this is correct before ordering. If you are unsure please don't hesitate to contact us and ask for assistance.

Common Faults & Symptoms

The following symptoms are commonly reported when carbon filters become saturated or damaged. Use this as a diagnostic guide before ordering a replacement — if more than one of these is present, the filters are the likely culprit.

1
Lingering Cooking Odours
The most common sign of saturated carbon filters is that cooking smells remain in the kitchen long after the hood has been running, even on the highest fan speed.
2
Reduced Airflow and Poor Extraction
Clogged or saturated filters restrict airflow, so smoke and steam are not drawn away efficiently. You may notice the hood struggling to clear the air during cooking].
3
Filters Visibly Dirty or Saturated
The carbon media may appear dark, greasy or matted. Unlike metal grease filters, carbon filters cannot be cleaned or regenerated and must be replaced once saturated].
4
Filters Smell Unpleasant
A saturated carbon filter can itself begin to smell unpleasant, especially in humid conditions, because it can no longer adsorb odours effectively.
5
Need for More Frequent Grease Filter Cleaning
When carbon filters are saturated, more grease reaches the metal grease filter, causing it to clog more quickly than usual.
6
Condensation on Kitchen Surfaces
Poor odour and moisture removal can lead to condensation on windows, walls and cabinets during cooking.
7
Visible Damage to the Filter Casing
The frame or mesh around the carbon media may be cracked or deformed, preventing the filter from seating correctly and allowing unfiltered air to bypass it.

Fitment Guidance

This filter pack is compatible only with the models listed in the compatibility matrix above. Even if a filter looks visually similar, the shape, thickness and mounting method can differ between hood ranges.

  • The pack is listed for specific CDA cooker hood models (CCG60BL, EXG60, EXG90, ECH63). The Amica listing is marked TBC, so please confirm your model with the parts team.
  • Your full model number, usually found on the rating plate inside the hood or on the motor housing, must match one of the listed codes exactly.
  • Carbon filters are intended for recirculation mode only; ducted installations do not use them.
  • If your model is not listed, contact the parts team with the model and serial number before ordering.

Diagnostic Tips

Before concluding that the carbon filters need replacing, carry out these checks to rule out other causes.

  • CHECK THE GREASE FILTER: A clogged metal grease filter will reduce airflow and prevent the carbon filters from working, even if they are new.
  • CONFIRM THE HOOD IS IN RECIRCULATION MODE: Carbon filters are only effective when the hood recirculates air. If the hood is ducted outside, carbon filters are not required.
  • INSPECT FOR DAMAGE: Look for tears, crushed sections or loose carbon granules. Any physical damage means the filter should be replaced.
  • RULE OUT DUCTING OR MOTOR FAULTS: If clean, correctly fitted filters are in place but extraction is still poor, check the ducting for blockages and the motor for faults.

Installation Guide

These steps describe the general procedure. The exact sequence varies between models, so always consult the appliance instruction manual where available.

  1. Switch off the cooker hood and allow it to cool if it has been in use.
  2. Remove the metal grease filter to gain access to the carbon filter housing.
  3. Release the old carbon filters from their clips or mounting points and remove them from the hood.
  4. Clean the housing area before fitting the new filters.
  5. Position the new carbon filters in the housing and secure them with the existing clips or fixings.
  6. Refit the metal grease filter, then run the hood briefly to confirm normal airflow and no rattling.

Before Ordering, Check These First

  • Confirm that the hood is in recirculation mode and actually uses carbon filters.
  • Check that the metal grease filter is clean and not restricting airflow.
  • Inspect the old carbon filters for saturation, damage or loose granules.
  • Verify that your model number appears in the compatibility list, character for character.
  • If you are unsure, contact the parts team with your full model and serial number before placing an order.

Disclaimer: The fault codes and symptoms listed above are intended as a general guide to assist with diagnosis. They cannot be taken as a definitive diagnosis of any particular problem, and other components may produce similar symptoms. Always confirm the fault with proper testing before ordering parts.

Cooker Hood
Filters

Cooker hood filters come in two main types: grease filters, which prevent grease entering the motor, and carbon/charcoal filters, which remove odours and protect the motor. All hoods require a grease filter, and non-vented hoods should also have a carbon filter fitted. Regular replacement or cleaning is essential for optimal performance.

Filter Replacement Guidelines

  • Grease filters: replace every 1–6 months depending on cooking frequency and type
  • Carbon/charcoal filters: replace every 3–6 months for optimal odour removal
  • Metal mesh grease filters: clean regularly to prevent blockage or damage
  • Replacement frequency depends on cooking habits rather than just manufacturer guidelines

Some cooker hood filters are highly model-specific. Images and sizes are for illustration only. Always check compatibility with your specific model to ensure correct fit and performance.

Important: Do not rely solely on images, as filters can appear identical but be incompatible. Always refer to model specifications and contact us if unsure.

CDA  Spare Part Specialists

CDA
Spare Parts.

Until its acquisition by Amica in 2015, CDA was a pure rebadging brand. Their appliances were sourced from a vast network of global manufacturers, meaning parts sourcing requires high-level technical cross-referencing.

The Multi-Factory Maze

A single "range" of CDA ovens could be produced by numerous different factories across different continents. Visual identification is normally impossible; we rely strictly on various codes on the rating plates to get to the correct technical data.

Don't Guess at CDA Parts

Ordering based on visual similarity is the leading cause of returns for this brand. We strongly advise against guessing. Identifying the original manufacturer of your CDA machine is the key to a successful repair.

Cheaper Alternatives

Because CDA rebadges, we can often source the original component manufacturer (OCM) part at a lower cost than the CDA-boxed version. We identify these functional spares to save you money without compromising safety.
