The element sits behind the oven's rear panel, with the fan drawing air across its coils and pushing warmed air through vents into the cavity.

Installation guide: 1. Isolate the appliance from the electrical supply at the wall and allow it to cool completely. 2. Oven Not Heating on Fan-Assisted Setting

The oven may work on conventional top and bottom heat settings, but when the fan-assisted programme is selected, the oven stays cold or only warms slightly. This is because the fan element is energised separately from the top and base elements, so a failure in the fan circuit will not affect conventional cooking. Test the fan element with a multimeter to confirm.

Uneven Cooking and Hot Spots
A partially failed fan element can produce uneven heat distribution even though it still glows. Food on the top shelf may brown faster than the bottom, or one side of a tray may cook more quickly than the other.
