Replacement gas burner thermocouples are designed for Stoves cookers, and range cookers. These thermocouples are attached to the gas tap and detect the presence of a flame by sensing the expansion and contraction of gas inside. When no flame is present, they automatically cut off the gas supply to the burner, regardless of whether it’s a hob zone, grill, or oven burner. If the thermocouples malfunction, they will prevent the gas burner from staying lit, even if the burner lights correctly.
